Chapter 1 - The Past

ENGLISH VERSION
It was a very cold evening just to be only October.
I was just  going home coming from my usual maths  private lessons, for I’m not a champion in numbers.
I was walking among the busy crowd:  there is always a lot of people in New York going up and down the streets. Only the kids don’t hurry, they used to run only to see the just baked sweets, the ones mummy rarely buys.
I loved and love NY. It was and is my city.
Nevertheless that evening I wasn’t calm, I seemed to be out of place.
I remember I was thinking how it should have been after the diploma, maybe my life should have changed, I would be no more the loser drawing girl,  perhaps I would have a successful life.

In that moment something distracted me  and catched my attention .
There was a group of  high school guys, I knew them all, one by one, they were guys with a perfect life and  no problems except studying,
They were laughing and exchanging jokes, I went on walking for a while and I understood the reason.
There was a brown headed girl,   called Stefani, among them.
They were teasing her once again, but this time they exaggerated. They  pushed her in the garbage box.
I remember the tears wetting her cheeks. I laid my hand towards her. That beaten everything!
There is no law in the world that prohibits to through guys in the garbage, but I swore that if I ever became president of the nation,  it would be the first law I would do.

Everything began as above:  our friendship, the evenings spent talking, the afternoons spent studying, imaging our future,  arguing with positive proposes... we were good friends

The two typical girls resulting victims of bullyng.

So I was thinking about my past, the meeting with my only true friend.

Now we haven't been talking for  some months for she is too busy.
I miss her.
I sipped a bit of hot chocolate while I was drawing* and  after I checked my e-mail.
No work requests.
Yes, I have graduated and I don't have a job.
The truth is that, the only thing I like doing is drawing.

Ho detto "faremo" perchè siamo due cugine Costanza e Laura, entrambe Little Monster.
